TYPE C: European 2-pin Round pin attachment plug
This plug adapter changes the shape of an appliance's plug so that can plug into a "Type C" European CEE 7/16 Class II non-grounded Europlug socket or a Soviet-era Russian GOST 7396 Class II non-grounded socket. The receptacle end of the adapter can accept any standard household plug type from any country, except the "Type M" South African SABS1661 (Old British BS-546 "Large") plug. The plug end is a "Type C" CEE 7/16 Europlug, which is compatible with several other types of sockets as well. They include the grounded "Type F" German and "Type E" French Schuko sockets, the "Type L" Italian socket, the "Type H" Israeli socket, and the "Type J" Swiss and "Type K" Danish sockets, although connections to these sockets will be non-grounded. The adapter's pins are 4.0mm in diameter, 19mm long and spaced 19mm apart. The plug is non-polarized and non-grounded.
Popularly known as the Europlug, the Type C electrical plug is a two-pin unearthed plug used throughout continental Europe, parts of the Middle East, and much of Africa, South America, central Asia, and the former Soviet republics. .
The Type C plug is technically known as the CEE 7/16 (Europlug 2.5 A/250 V unearthed). There is a similar plug with slightly larger pins known as the CEE 7/17. Both types are unearthed and have two round pins which converge slightly. The CEE 7/16 is intended for devices that require 2.5 A or less. The 19 mm separation of the pins and the pins' 4 mm length allow for its safe insertion in most Type C, Type E, Type F, Type H, and some Type L outlets. The larger CEE 7/17 has a round plastic or rubber base that prevents it from being inserted into small sockets. The base has holes to accommodate the side contacts and socket earth pins.
How it's used:
Attach a plug adapter to the power cord of any electrical appliance which is already compatible with the voltage being supplied by the socket. The adapter changes the shape and configuration of the electrical contacts, allowing you to plug into a different kind of socket.
Or, if you prefer to think of it this way, plug the adapter into an electrical socket to enable the socket to accept almost any worldwide household plug (as long as the appliance is already compatible with the voltage being supplied by the socket.) Adapters aren't built for permanent installation though, and it's not a good idea to leave the adapter plugged into the socket indefinitely. They can remain plugged in for long periods of time, but they're not intended to be permanently installed.
Caution:
- It does not perform voltage step-up or step-down conversion between 125V and 250V;
- When use, please check and ensure your electronics apparatus can work with the local voltage;
- You may use this product when the indicatore of the common charger shows it adapts 100V-240V;
- For your children safety, please keep this product properly when it is not in use.
